I Cast Initiative
Privacy notice
Last updated 24 September 2026
I Cast Studios Ltd is responsible for personal information collected through this website. You can ask about your information or exercise your privacy rights by emailing hello@icastinitiative.com.
What we collect and why
- I Cast Initiative account. If you sign in, we use your email address, a unique account ID and the basic identity details returned by your chosen sign-in provider to create, secure and recognize your account. You may add a display name and private profile picture, arrange your account cards, set a password and choose whether to receive I Cast Initiative marketing or tester news. We record when you give those optional permissions. We also store an administrative audience label, any alpha or beta testing grant, any complimentary plan grant, and which published account updates you have read or dismissed. The audience label can determine which on-site updates you see; it does not grant tracker or paid access. Testing and complimentary grants are separate account settings. Our basis is providing the account you request and our legitimate interest in keeping it secure; optional emails need your positive choice. Signing in does not join the waitlist or give access to the private tracker.
- Waitlist. If you choose Join Waitlist, we store your email address, any names you provide, the consent wording and the time and source of your submission. We use these to send I Cast Initiative alpha invitations and marketing emails only with your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or using an unsubscribe link in a future email.
- Contact. If you send a message through a contact form, we use your name, email and message to answer you and handle your enquiry. Our basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- Site operation and optional analytics. Hosting and security services receive technical request information needed to serve and protect the site. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are optional: they run only if you accept analytics in Cookie settings. Clarity masks name and email fields. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie settings.
Who helps us provide the site
Vercel hosts the website; Supabase provides account authentication and Initiative waitlist storage; Sanity stores editorial website and account-update content, not the website user directory; Resend sends account codes and contact-form email and manages optional Initiative email updates and unsubscribes. If you choose Google or Discord sign-in, that provider authenticates you and shares basic identity information with us. Cloudflare provides the contact-form spam check. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity process optional analytics only after consent. These services may process data outside the UK; contact us for details of the relevant transfer safeguards.
How long we keep information
We keep account details, profile pictures, preferences and update read state while your I Cast Initiative website account exists, and afterward only for as long as needed for security or legal reasons. You can download or delete this website account from its account page. Account deletion does not erase separate waitlist-consent history, old tracker records or I Cast Minis information; contact us for requests about those. We keep waitlist information until you withdraw consent or the waitlist purpose ends, subject to any limited record needed to respect an opt-out. We keep contact correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to answer and follow up on your enquiry. Service and security logs follow the providers’ configured retention periods.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict or object to its use, or provide a portable copy where the law applies. You can withdraw waitlist or analytics consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Email hello@icastinitiative.com to make a request.
Changes
We will update this notice when the website’s data practices change. Account sign-in, the waitlist and the private tracker are separate; future tracker or payment features will need their own updated disclosures before release.
